Building Services Engineering pathway

This degree programme provides a comprehensive education in Building Services Engineering, preparing learners to design, implement, and manage the complex systems that make modern buildings safe, comfortable and energy-efficient. Learners develop expertise in key areas such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical and mechanical services and building automation systems, while learning to apply sustainable and innovative solutions to real-world construction projects.

Alongside technical skills, the programme covers broader aspects of the construction industry, including project management, supply chains, financial management and compliance with building regulations. Learners gain proficiency in digital tools such as computer-aided design (CAD), Building Information Modelling (BIM), and other software used to optimise building systems.

Throughout the programme, there is a strong emphasis on sustainability, innovation and professional practice. Learners learn to integrate environmentally responsible design methods, evaluate emerging technologies and develop skills in leadership, teamwork and problem-solving.
